MediaCME is a partnership between the International Center for Postgraduate Medical Education (ICPME) and Data Description, Inc.

International Center for Postgraduate Medical Education (ICPME) is a medical education company that provides independent, quality continuing education for physicians and other health care professionals to improve medical care for patients and their communities. ICPME believes that quality unbiased education is a powerful way to deliver important information to health care professionals and impact medical practice. ICPME is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians, the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) to provide continuing education for pharmacists, and is an approved provider of continuing education in nursing by the Colorado Nurses Association and the California Board of Registered Nurses. ICPME has a longstanding reputation of excellence in the field of radiology including magnetic resonance imaging, magnetic resonance angiography, computed tomography, cardiac catheterization, and related areas associated with body and neuro imaging. In addition to our ongoing radiology focus, ICPME provides educational programs in neurology, female health care, and business management.

Data Description is a software developer based in Ithaca that has been developing multimedia courses and courseware since 1994. The company uses its proprietary MediaDX™ and the Scriptio open source technologies to create interactive computer-based learning products in the corporate, government, and education markets. These content-rich productions deploy a full array of media: sound, video, narration, animation, and Web links, to allow the user to learn, experience, and practice key concepts and important skills.

Data Description has recently applied its expertise to the field of continuing medical education with 5 CME courses produced since early 2006 with our partner ICPME. These 5 courses have been well received by both the faculty authors and the students, and represent the state of the art in CD and online medical education.
